DJ Fatz began DJing while living in Japan on active duty military assignment, where he currently resides. He has spinned in many different cities in Japan since. The passion for it was there long before he ever got behind the decks. Born in Philadelphia and raised in South Carolina, my taste in music was shaped by a wide range of sounds, regions, and eras. Fatz grew up listening to everything from 70s soul and old-school hip-hop to East Coast, Southern, West Coast, UK hip-hop, and today’s modern sound. That mix of influences gave me an appreciation for music beyond just one genre or generation. He has always paid attention to the feeling, production, samples, drums, and the way different styles connect. For Fatz, DJing is about bringing all of those influences together—playing records people love, introducing sounds most might have forgotten, and connecting different eras of music in one set.Specialties: Hip-Hop • R&B • Soul • UK Rap • Old School • Blog Era • Modern Hip-Hop • Genre & Era Blending • Music CurationAge:35
