Dtroit Reed is from Detroit, MI. He has been singing since his early childhood and began playing piano at the age of nine. Coming from a musical family, DtroitReed always knew he would have a musical career to be a singer, songwriter or producer. Dtroit Reed knew he had to fulfill his musical dream.  Dtroit Reed is an experienced performer who sang in the church and school choirs throughout his formative years. He began preaching and playing for the church choir at the age of twelve. He currently serves as Worship Leader and Associate Pastor at Kingdom Culture Church in Detroit, MI.

As a producer, he’s contributed his musical talents with artists such as BB Jay, Brotha Dre, DMX, Pastor Eryk Anglin, and many others. He has also produced with musicians such as Chico Debarge and  Dana Davis. He’s shared the stage with Deitrick Haddon, Damita, Mitchell Jones, Hip-Hop icon DMX and countless other great talents. He’s also performed at Detroit’s legendary Music Hall. His talents have carried him to many places in the continental United States and have garnered him a growing fan base in London, UK.

He has over 30 years of radio, television, media marketing and promotions expertise, and first served as an announcer at a New Orleans, Louisiana radio station acquired by Clear Channel.  He expanded his communications knowledge by working as an apprentice at the local public television station, where he took on the role of a camera operator and produced one-hour segments for a weekly show, and later accepted a position as camera operator at KTCA, television station in St. Paul, Minnesota; and then became Assistant Program Director/Announcer at WRNB in Minneapolis, Minnesota.   As GM, he oversees 105.5 The King.
Following his stint at WRNB, he served as an Event Producer with the Contemporary Group, an event-marketing firm based in St. Louis, Missouri. For three years, he traveled with the CBS College Tour to promote CBS network programming to college students at 45 universities across the country. After the third year, he accepted a position with Entertainment Marketing in Chicago, Illinois, whose major client was Anheuser Busch. His job was to market and promote the Budweiser Superfest Tour.   
As the Budweiser Superfest Road Manager/Representative, he had the pleasure of interacting with many talented artists, such as Mary J. Blige, Boyz II Men, Pattie LaBelle and Dru Hill, as well as Bones, Thugs and Harmony, New Edition, BlackStreet, Keith Sweat, After 7, Frankie Beverley and Maze, and Montell Jordan, to name a few. Out of this experience with The Contemporary Group and Entertainment Marketing, and created Dominique's World Productions, Inc., a road management and consulting company that developed and executed tours. His first client as road manager was Def Jam recording artist, LL Cool J. 
His success with LL Cool J opened the door to work with Montell Jordan. He also managed promotional tours with Def Jam Music Group, the "How to Be a Player" Promotional Tour and the EPMD "Back in Business" Promotional Tour. His relationship with Def Jam afforded him the opportunities to road manage Jay-Z on the Bad Boy Entertainment/"Puff Daddy and the Family Tour.” Another door on the second leg of the tour opened, and he became the road accountant for Puffy and the Bad Boy Family.

Jay Francis Springs Recalls a time:"I came to Midtown in 1980 and started working at Peachtree + W. Peachtree where WIGO held their studios. Historically, WIGO is one of the two stations that has served the African American community dating back to the 1960’s. I used to catch the bus from Five Points and would ride by watching the melting pot that is Midtown and its changes. Midtown has always been an inspiring area, and Colony Square is a significant landmark.

In 1998, I started working in Colony Square at WAOK Radio. Everyone made me feel so welcomed. It is the comfort and safety at Colony Square that made people feel assured. The security guards were so awesomely, friendly that they even knew me by my first name.

When I came to work, I would watch the sunrise from dawn until twilight, enjoying the environment as if I were home. There used to be an older couple that lived behind Colony Square, and they would stand right in the front of the building every weekend as early as 6 AM. The scene was very romantic: two senior citizens that were out there dignified, dressed like they were going to the prom, just standing and waving at people. Sometimes they would be outside with a little dog that loved to lick your hand. I would stop and pet the dog and have a casual conversation with them and they would talk about the beauty of life. They were the kind of characters that made you feel at ease when you left them. That is one of the most unique qualities about Colony Square, everyone here makes you feel valuable."

When it comes to the music, Tameka Nichole began her music interest at the early age of 5 when her grandmother, Lillie Balmer moved her to the country town of Jackson, NC, after leaving the big city of Norfolk, VA, where all of her leisure time was dedicated simply to radio and beauty. Growing up on 103 Jamz (102.9fm WOWi) and FOXY (104.3fm/107.1fm) Tameka Nichole waited by the radio every night at 8 pm every night for any World Premiers and just to record the latest songs on her Just For Me cassette tapes that came free in her hair relaxer making a way to continuously hear her favorite songs while doing something in beauty, whether it was nails or hair, she fed her desire for both.

Tameka Nichole went on to attend North Carolina Central University where she stumbled into the pleasures of music, while walking the halls of the Farrison-Newton Communications building during the first week of her freshman year, causing her to change her major from her initial interest in from computers to Mass Communications with a concentration in Broadcast Media, and minoring in business and hospitality.

Tameka Nichole found immediate interest in the campus student radio station, AudioNet Campus Access Radio where she was able to build her talent as a Radio Personality, a dream that she held since the age of 5. After becoming heavily involved with AudioNet she was one of the main on-air personality to interview/record artist drops from celebrities in the entertainment industry.

Tameka Nichole then went on to become an NCCU Liasion for Black College Radio (BCR) as well as being given the opportunity to attend the BCR conferences launched by Lo Jelks in Atlanta, GA then on to become a representative for NCCU at the Kings Dominion “BET Black College Day.” From there she went on to finally create her own radio show, “The Pay Back” (paid homage to all those Classic R&B tunes that have been re-made and or sampled.). While at NCCU during her Junior year with the help of then Station Director, Truitt Oneal, Tameka Nichole become founding Organizer and President of AudioNet, affording the student station its first grant,  the station to gain necessary equipment such as station microphones.

From gaining all insights while working with AudioNet Tameka Nichole started early with Radio internships, holding her first internship the summer after her freshman year with First Media Radio in Weldon, NC to better prepare herself for her next internship, the summer after her sophomore year with Radio One Incorporated station, later using this opportunity to venture into the station’s promotion and marketing events as well as a cultivating a invaluable business relationship with Brian Dawson, where she worked as Executive Assistant and Assistant Director of Operations, Online Advertising & Marketing for Chase Media/BD Entertainment.
